Find out how the costs for AdUp campaigns are structured and why you only pay for actual clicks – with no minimum budget, contract term, or additional platform fees.

Overview

With AdUp, you retain full control over your advertising costs.

Our campaigns are billed on a Cost-per-Click (CPC) basis. This means you only incur costs when someone actually clicks on your advertisement.

There are:

  • no setup fees

  • no minimum budgets

  • no contract terms

  • no monthly basic fees

This allows you to flexibly start, pause, or stop campaigns at any time.

How billing works

AdUp works on a maximum CPC bid (Max. CPC) basis.

For each campaign, you decide the maximum amount you are willing to pay for a click.

Depending on the campaign type, you can define the Max. CPC for:

  • the entire campaign

  • individual keywords

  • individual placements

The actual price charged per click is often below your set maximum bid.

You only pay for clicks

Costs are only incurred when a user clicks on your advert.

Impressions – meaning pure views of the advert – are not charged.

This ensures you invest your budget specifically in visitors who have already shown interest in your offer.

How high will my costs be?

The actual costs depend on several factors, including:

  • your Max. CPC

  • competition for the target group

  • the chosen keywords

  • the placements

  • the targeting settings

How much you ultimately pay per click therefore depends on your campaign configuration and the current market situation.

Where can I see my costs?

You can view all current campaign costs at any time in your advertiser account.

There, you will find information such as:

  • clicks

  • average CPC

  • campaign costs

  • performance per campaign

  • performance of individual keywords

  • performance of individual placements

This gives you a clear overview of your invested budget at all times.

Billing

The clicks generated are itemised transparently on your invoice.

For each campaign, the details listed include:

  • number of clicks

  • average CPC

  • total costs incurred

This allows you to easily track your advertising spend at any time.

No minimum budgets

With AdUp, you decide for yourself how much budget you want to invest.

There is no prescribed minimum budget.

You can therefore flexibly adapt your campaigns to your goals and budget.

No contract term

You do not enter into any long-term commitment.

Campaigns can be:

  • started

  • paused

  • adjusted

  • stopped

at any time.

No additional fees

Apart from the actual advertising costs, no additional fees are charged.

These include, for example:

  • no setup fees

  • no monthly platform fees

  • no minimum spend requirements

If you use our Managed Service, you will not incur any additional service fees for this either.

Best Practices

Set realistic Max. CPCs

A bid that is too low can limit the reach of your campaign.

Review your bids regularly and adjust them as needed.

Monitor campaigns regularly

In particular, keep an eye on the following key metrics:

  • clicks

  • average CPC

  • conversion rate

  • campaign costs

This helps you identify potential for optimization early on.

Increase budget gradually

Start with a budget that fits your campaign goals and increase it based on the results achieved.
